Kala Aaradhana 2012 Music Competition
What : It gives me great pleasure to announce Kala Aaradhana 2012, a competitive event showcasing the vibrant culture of India and celebrating the Classical Art Forms of Music, Dance and Art, hosted by Sanatan Dharma Kendra, Sunnyvale, in their new location at 193 Commercial Street, Sunnyvale, CA 94086.
Kala Aaradhana 2012, true its name, is an event in which, we will be conducting competitions in Classical Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Classical Dance, and Art (Painting and Rangoli). This event will be held over four days, spread over two weekends, in December, 2012.

The deadline for registration is 25th November, 2012.

Images of India : 22nd Annual Culture Show
Asha for Education would greatly appreciate it if you brought your friends and family to the show to help support socio-economic growth in India while promoting India's ethnic and folk music and classical dance forms.
What: An evening of music and dance showcasing the richness, depth and diversity of Indian culture.
When: November 11, 2012 7:00pm-9:00pm
Where: UC Berkeley International House Chevron Auditorium , 2299 Piedmont Avenue, Berkeley, CA
Why: Support socio-economic development in India while enjoying an evening of dance and music. This year we are featuring a great number of performers including: Mango Raasi, Tabla Niketan, Cal Kathak, Cal Bhangra, Guru Shradha, Nrityananda School of Kuchipudi, and Ganesh Raman. All proceeds benefit grassroots education and development programs in under-served communities in India.

Vijayjee has had the privilege of learning from Kumar Gandharv for twenty two years. Gifted with a melodious voice,Vijayjee has been performing at concerts all over India, including the prestigious Sawai Gandharva Festival in Pune.
Amongst Pt. Kumar Gandharva's disciples, Vijayjee’s presentation is widely recognized as being very close to that of his Guru. A meditative quality that prevailed in Late Kumarjee's music can be richly experienced in Vijayjee's music as well.
We will have a rare opportunity to hear him in the Bay Area. Please plan on attending this exciting concert in intimate house setting.
